We are all searching for significance and yearning for purpose.
We are told to find ourselves, live our truth & follow our arrow.

But what if it’s not about us?
What if there’s more?
What if there’s God?

What if God planted & purposed our
earning|yearning, hungering|thirsting
to serve as the holy invitation to himself?

When I teach about purpose, I almost always include the reminder that

We are made in the image of God by the hand of God for the purpose of bringing glory to God.

Saint Augustine said it better:

“Thou hast made us for thyself, O Lord, and our heart is restless until it finds its rest in thee.”

We all wanna find our purpose and pursue it with passion. But the paradox of purpose is this:
It’s not ours to seek out.
It’s ours to live out.

Ephesians 1:11 tells us “In Him also we have received an inheritance [a destiny—we were claimed by God as His own], having been predestined (chosen, appointed beforehand) according to the purpose of Him who works everything in agreement with the counsel and design of His will.”

So here is the question I would like to pose to us all today:
How does knowing whose we are change how you determine who we are?

I will be sharing mine soon in my teaching on Ephesians. We will cover pursuing our overall purpose by Walking in Love, Living as Light and Loving in Unity.

Also, STAY TUNED!  So many of you have been with me from my Jesus following/teaching/writing infancy and have lovingly and patiently encouraged me to keep growing and working. And I have something VERY EXCITING that I want to share with y’all here as soon as I am able! 😁

He writes our story for His glory. There is no higher calling.

I ask, pray, beg to Him every morning for His purpose for me. I owe Him so much and I want, more than anything, to fulfill his duties for me. Every day, I am thankful for the multitudes of little gifts He gives. I can’t tell you how often I thank God for water. Rain water to nourish our selves, our land and supply puddles for little boys to splash in. Oceans and lakes for the many abundances they supply. Running water throughout my home. So many people take this for granted and waste this precious gift.
The gifts are so abundant and I can not Thank God enough. I pray that I can be what He wants me to be everyday. I owe Him for everything – my life

Christine you always articulate it so beautifully. pretty sure you have found your calling and purpose. His power living in us is the most important thing of all and once I lean into that and totally depend on that Holy Spirit, my life is calm, fulfilled, satisfied and purposeful. Being complete in Him is a process. My goal is being more identifiable in this new culture which includes pleasing God not men. He gives us the power to be bold in a gentle loving way. Thank you for your beautiful thoughts, research , perseverence and sharing. There is nothing more joy filled or satisfying when we know our purpose and actions are in His will even when it hurts or is uncomfortable and you surely have arrived at that. Sally
